Vive La Fête

Danny's Vive La Fête was on the cover of last week's issue of Focus, a supplement of Belgian news weekly Knack. Inside is an interesting 4-page interview with Els Pynoo & Danny. They talk about Karl Lagerfeld, about the way they write their music, and of course about their new album Nuit Blanche, which will be released on April 28. There's a small mention of the dEUS show at the Beach Rock festival in 1999, where Danny acted as "the most genuine rockstar uit België". And Els also talks about the way a woman from Antwerpen complained that by buying clothes from 2nd hand stores, Tom Barman ruins the regular business.

Vive La Fête will be on stage at Vooruit in Gent this Saturday. More dates on their official website.

Hello

My winter sleep's been nice and cosy, thank you very much.

Tom was on the cover of the cultural supplement of Belgian news weekly Le Vif/L'Express on March 28. He posed for a series of fashion photographs & gave a 2-page interview. I'll post the pictures next week. Summary of the interview :
- dEUS will get back together in studio in September, expect the next album in Spring 2004
- The Magnus (CJ Bolland + Tom Barman's dance-oriented project) album will be released in September
- Any Way The Wind Blows (Tom's debut full-length) will hit (some) Belgian theatres on June 18


And yesterday I saw Tom at Culture Club in Gent, he was DJ-ing. Summary:
- First Magnus single out on May 8
- The film will be premiered on June 8 in Antwerp
- Uh... I was too high to remember everything


And guess who else was playing at CC... Danny Cool Rocket's very own SeXmachines! Yeah! First time I've seen them since 1998. They're huge fun. And loud. Punkmetal rocks.
